Powerful Diesel Tuning for Better Fuel Economy and Lower Emissions
More engine torque means slower engine speeds, which reduces fuel consumption and subsequently emissions. BRABUS ECO PowerXtra® diesel tuning from BRABUS lends the latest Mercedes CDI models not only more maximum power but also notably more pulling power from slow engine speeds. And slower engine speeds translate into further reduced fuel consumption and emissions. All BRABUS ECO PowerXtra® kits are backed by the one-of-a-kind BRABUS Tuning Warranty® of up to three years up to 100,000 kilometers/62,000 miles (see BRABUS warranty conditions as of November 2006).

During the development of the new ECO PowerXtra® modules the BRABUS engine specialists focus strongly on increasing torque at low engine speeds. During everyday driving the BRABUS-tuned common-rail turbodiesel engines always demonstrated much better pulling power from low rpm. During normal driving, the vehicle can usually be operated one or two gears higher than the production car. The need for downshifting during acceleration is also reduced.

The results are not just excellent performance but thanks to the slower engine speeds better fuel economy and reduced emissions. All BRABUS ECO PowerXtra® kits meet strict Euro 4 emission limits and all can be also installed in vehicles equipped with diesel particulate filter. The new with BRABUS ECO PowerXtra D6 BLUE performance kit for the Mercedes E 300 BLUETEC makes BRABUS the first automobile tuner to meet ultra-stringent EURO V exhaust limits which won’t go into effect until 2011.

Depending on the specific model, BRABUS ECO PowerXtra® kits increase maximum power output by up to 53 hp (52 hp SAE net) / 39 kW and peak torque by up to 100 Nm (74 lb-ft). The plug-and-play-type auxiliary control modules can be installed by any authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer in less than an hour.
